“You are to become a creator, not a competitor; you are going to get what you want, but in such a way that when you get it every other man will have more than he has now.”

Getting what you want by taking away from others is a scarcity mindset. Scarcity mindset will produce scarcity. The better way is to adopt an abundance mindset, which will produce abundance.
Scarcity mindset says “There’s not enough, so I must take away from you to get what I need.” It is self-fulfilling.
Abundance mindset says “I receive what I need through infinite supply. I can give freely because my supply will be replenished.” It is also self-fulfilling.

Half Awake
William JamesHarvard professor, Father of American Psychology, New Age Thought pioneer
“Compared with what we ought to be, we are only half awake. Our fires are damped, our drafts are checked. We are making use of only a small pert of our possible mental and physical resources. … The human individual thus lives usualy far within his limits; he posseses powers of various sorts which he habitually fails to use. He energizes below his maximum, and behaves below his optimum. … Either some unusual stimulus fills them with emotional excitement, or some unusual idea of necessity induces them to make an extra effort of will. Excitements, ideas, and efforts in a word, are what carry us over the dam.”

A Paradigm
…is a mental program that has almost exclusive control over our habitual behavior… AND almost all of our behavior is habitual.
A paradigm can be likened to a program that has been installed in your subconscious mind.
