I understand this. Somehow I have always understood that the value in a job was in me, not the job. The “job” may come or go, but the value always stayed with me. It didn’t matter if I lost a job or found it necessary to leave a job, because the value in me would always rise to the occasion of providing me the sustenance – or income – that I needed to get along.
